February Variety Show Brand Reputation Rankings Announced

The Korean Business Research Institute has revealed this month’s brand reputation rankings for variety shows!

The rankings were determined through an analysis of the consumer participation, interaction, media coverage, community awareness, and viewership indexes of 50 popular variety programs, using big data collected from January 5 to February 5.

TV Chosun’s wildly popular audition show “Mister Trot 2” held onto its spot at the top of the list this month with a brand reputation index of 17,147,751, marking a 19.66 percent rise in its score since January. High-ranking phrases in the show’s keyword analysis included “death match,” “vote,” and “ratings,” while its highest-ranking related terms included “battle,” “surpass,” and “record.” The program’s positivity-negativity analysis also revealed a score of 92.34 percent positive reactions.

MBN’s audition show “Fire Trot” also maintained its position at second place with a brand reputation index of 13,452,902, marking a 34.95 percent increase in its score since last month.

Meanwhile, MBC’s “Home Alone” (“I Live Alone”) climbed to third place with a brand reputation index of 6,843,706, marking a 44.09 percent rise in its score since January.

SBS’s “Running Man” took fourth place for February with a brand reputation index of 6,018,456, marking a 26.71 percent increase in its score since last month.

Finally, MBC’s “Radio Star” rounded out the top five for the month with a brand reputation index of 4,337,121, marking a 29.67 percent rise in its score since January.
