ITZY's Ryujin + Stray Kids' Changbin And Hyunjin Appointed To The Promise's Honors Club As Major Donors

ITZY’s Ryujin, along with Stray Kids’ Changbin and Hyunjin, have become members of The Promise’s Honors Club!

The Promise is a non-governmental organization (NGO) that aims to use education to provide opportunities in underdeveloped countries. On March 30, The Promise announced the newest members of their Honors Club which recognizes major donors. Donors are appointed to the Honors Club once they donate over 100 million won (approximately $77,100) or after they consistently lead initiatives with The Promise.

In an official statement, The Promise announced, “Ryujin has been appointed the first member of the Honors Club, a group of major donors.” They explained, “Ryujin donated 50 million won [approximately $38,500] in 2022 for emergency relief of wildfire victims in the east coast, and in 2023 for emergency relief of earthquake victims in Turkey and Syria. After surpassing a total donation amount of 100 million won, she has been recorded as the first Honors Club donor.”

Ryujin commented, “It’s a relief that I can be at least a bit of help to victims experiencing difficulties due to disasters and it’s that much more meaningful to be appointed the first member of the Honors Club.”

The NGO also shared, “Stray Kids members Changbin and Hyunjin each made emergency relief donations of 100 million won to help the victims of the Turkey/Syria earthquakes and have been registered as members of the Honors Club.”

Focusing on those left most vulnerable from the disaster, Changbin and Hyunjin’s recent donations were used to provide victims with basic necessities and medical supplies for emergency treatment.

Early next month, ITZY will wrap up their “CHECKMATE” world tour with a show in Bangkok, while Stray Kids is currently gearing up to make a comeback.
