Watch: EXO’s Sehun, Jo Joon Young, Jang Yeo Bin, And More Introduce Their “All That We Loved” Roles At Script Reading
The cast of “All That We Loved” showcased their synergy at the drama’s first script reading!
TVING’s “All That We Loved” is a romance drama about the love triangle that forms when two best friends—one of whom has donated a kidney to the other—both fall for the same transfer student in high school. The main cast includes EXO’s Sehun, Jo Joon Young, and Jang Yeo Bin.
After introducing himself and his character Go Yoo, EXO’s Sehun comments, “Go Yoo is very loyal, passionate, good at fighting, and good at basketball, to the point where he’s called a basketball genius.” Sehun adds that Go Yoo is fiercely protective of his closest friend Joon Hee, who he donates a kidney to.
Jo Joon Young portrays Go Yoo’s best friend Go Joon Hee, the top student at their school. He explains, “After receiving a kidney transplant from Go Yoo, who has a completely different personality from him, he experiences cellular memory syndrome.” This syndrome refers to the phenomenon of organ transplant recipients acquiring the personality, habits, and memories of their donor.
Jang Yeo Bin stars as Han So Yeon, the beautiful transfer student who catches the eyes of both Go Yoo and Go Joon Hee. Jang Yeo Bin adds, “From a different side, she’s very lonely, appears cold, and is a secretive character.”
Song Jae Rim plays Dr. Go, of whom he shares, “He’s a character who has the secret and key to the past event. Because he’s a doctor, he’s smart and is also athletic. He’s someone who has everything.”
On creating their characters, Sehun shares, “I wanted to draw out the fresh and energetic image that only Go Yoo could portray.”
Jo Joon Young comments, “A charming aspect of Joon Hee is that his personality is very different before and after he receives his kidney transplant. Before, he could appear a bit cold and didn’t laugh much with Go Yoo, but after the transplant, he becomes a bit brighter.” The actor also reveals that since he is right-handed but Go Joon Hee is not, he diligently practiced using chopsticks with his left hand.
Jang Yeo Bin shares, “So Yeon is an incredibly lonely character and I hope that loneliness is portrayed well to viewers.”
Regarding the drama’s key point, Sehun touches on its focus on love and friendship, but ultimately chooses the bromance between Go Yoo and Go Joon Hee. Jo Joon Young chooses the same, but also mentions the love triangle and relatable stories of each family.
Jang Yeo Bin picks growth and their love triangle before adding, “I think there will also be fun in investigating who on earth Dr. Go really is.”
