Kim Bum Signs Exclusive Contract with Major Japanese Agency

Kim Bum is ready to take over Asia as the next Korean Wave star! The actor recently signed an exclusive contract with a major Japanese agency named Pony Canyon according to his agency King Kong Entertainment.

Pony Canyon, a subsidiary of a major Japanese media conglomerate Fujisankei Communications, has been pioneering the Korean Wave boom by producing albums and distributing contents of Korean Wave stars such as Jang Geun Seuk, Ahn Jae Wook, SS501, and Kim Jung Hoon.

A Pony Canyon representative stated, “Kim Bum has a cool and good-looking face, intellectual aura, model-like fashion sense, as well as a large spectrum as an actor. He emerged as the new Korean Wave star by gaining immense popularity throughout Asia through his ‘So Yi Jeong” character in the drama “Boys Over Flowers” in 2009.”

The representative further added, “Kim Bum showed off his musical talents by featuring his vocals along with his guitar and piano skills in the drama “The Woman Who Still Wants to Marry” in 2010.
