CJ Entertainment Releases "Silenced" in North America

The heartbreaking story about abuse committed against innocent children is making its way to western soil.

The powerful movie, “Silenced” (aka The Crucible), about the horrible injustice deaf children had to endure in one school has shocked a nation. “Silenced” is based on a true story. South Korean President Lee Myung Bak “made a point of publicly attending a screening. Revisions to national laws are already making their way through the National Assembly” stated CJ in a recent press release.

Actor Gong Yoo portrays a teacher, Kang In Ho, who bribes his way into a school to teach deaf children. While working there, he realizes the children’s’ behavior seems withdrawn. They appear distraught and paranoid in class. In Ho discovers the faculty at his new school are secretly sexually abusing the disable children. He joins forces with a woman from a human rights center to fight for the children.
