Huh Gak Sweeps Up Newcomer Awards

Singer Huh Gak is in the middle of sweeping up new singer awards everywhere he goes. On November 29 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium where the 2011 MAMA awards were held, Huh Gak was able to grasp and put under his wing the award for best male newcomer. 

Upon receiving the award Huh Gak stated, “Thank you to my record company family. I will strive to be that person that is always willing to sing for everyone.” 

Before receiving the MAMA award, Huh Gak also received the best newcomer at the 2011 Melon Music Awards on November 24. 

After he received the award he expressed his thanks, “It feels like I hit the jackpot. This award was possible only because of everyone’s love and support.”  

This makes two newcomer awards for Huh Gak so far. 

Last year Huh Gak was the winner of “Super Star K2” and came out with ballad songs this year with “Hello” and “Only Say I Want to Die” and received good results by hitting number one on charts. By participating in KBS 2TV’s “Immortal Song 2” Huh Gak widened his fan base by showing off his excellent vocal abilities. 

Huh Gak’s hard work and achievements has certainly paid off as receiving these awards mark his success as a newcomer. There is no doubt that he will be a strong nominee for best newcomer category for more award ceremonies to come, such as the “Golden Disk Awards,” “Seoul Music Awards,” “Gaon Chart Music Awards,” and more.
