Jay Park's Mixtape Reaches 100,000 Downloads

On July 20, Jay Park‘s agency Sidus announced that Jay Park’s mixtape “FRESH A!R: BREATHE !T” reached 100,000 downloads on DatPiff, the biggest mixtape website in the U.S. and earned the “Gold” status. Mixtapes usually refer to compilation albums with remixed beats, melodies, and creative lyrics made by hip hop artists. Previously, Jay Park released “FRESH A!R: BREATHE !T” as a way to thank his fans and distributed the album for free. The album has total of six songs, including “Body 2 Body.”

Jay Park is the first Korean and Asian artist to achieve Gold status on DatPiff. This achievement is even more meaningful considering that there was no official promotion of the album. “FRESH A!R: BREATHE !T” places Jay Park on the same level as world-renowned hip hop artists like Kanye West, 50 Cent, and Lil’ Sean. Netizens commented, “It’s really great that you’re advancing with music!” “I’ve listened to Jay Park’s mixtape, it was really good.” and “I like Jay Park’s music.”

Meanwhile, Jay Park is diligently preparing for his first Asian tour concerts. Jay Park’s “New Bread Asia Tour” will begin in Seoul, Korea on August 18 at the Olympic Stadium.
