Weekly K-Pop Music Chart 2013 - March Week 5
2AM’s “One Spring Day” repeats as No. 1 for the second straight week, winning easily over a very competitive field. It is the only song to score above 900 points this week, and is also 69 points ahead of the No. 2 song Lee Hi’s “It’s Over.” The song might have been caught in its own dilemma as “It’s Over” was the title track of Part 1 of Lee Hi’s first album. The full album has just been released and the new title song “Rose” will soon hit the chart.
There are two new songs in the top 10 this week. They are both just below the top three. Moving up 19 spots to No. 4 is “Expectation” from Girl’s Day. This song is coming from the group’s first full length album “Expectation.” It is a hybrid number which incorporates both analogue and electronic sounds. This addictive number is about a girl who wants to make a womanizer hers. The No. 4 spot ties the previous chart high set by their most famous hit “Twinkle Twinkle” in 2011. Let see if Girl’s Day will score their first top three hit next week.
Moving up 24 spots to No. 5 is G.NA’s new song “Oops!” from her fourth mini-album “Beautiful Kisses.” “Oops” is a charming song with piano melody. It is a mid-tempo love song about wanting a boyfriend who loves a girl for who she is. BTOB’s Jung Il Hoon is featured in this track. “Oops!” became the new No. 1 song on KBS Music Bank this week, and it will have a good chance to challenge for the top spot next week.
