Idol Soccer Team Shows Impressive Teamwork Against Park Ji Sung and “Running Man” Members
On the June 8 episode of “Running Man,” now retired Manchester United player Park Ji Sung featured as the special guest. As with the past two years, “Running Man” members will be playing in the special “Dream Cup” match of the Asia Cup with Park Ji Sung, and this episode was filled with games to train the members for the upcoming match.
The final game of the day was a match between the “Running Man” members and Park Ji Sung versus a team of idols who are well-known for their soccer skills. The idol team included 2AM‘s Changmin, ZE:A‘s Dongjun, BEAST‘s Kikwang, Yoseob, and Doojoon, BTOB‘s Minhyuk, VIXX‘s Leo, and B1A4‘s Baro. This team was coached by Park Ji Sung’s teammate from the Korean national soccer team of the 2002 World Cup, Seol Ki Hyon.
The “Running Man” team had earned three chances throughout the day, allowing them to have Park Ji Sung play on their team three times for five minutes each. With Park Ji Sung out for most of the match and the young idol members showing their best skills, “Running Man” team eventually lost 2:5. Kikwang scored three, Minhyuk scored one, and Leo scored one for their team. Gary scored one and Park Ji Sung scored two for their team.
Next week’s “Running Man” will show the cast and Park Ji Sung in Indonesia for the Asia Cup, as well as completing missions around the country.
