5 Must-Watch Korean Movies in October
October is here, and so are some amazing Korean movies that are all ready to open in theaters this month. Thrillers appear to be a popular genre for October films. With a variety of hot actors and plots, there’s something for everyone! Here are five films to look out for! Which movies are you interested in?
1. “Collective Invention”
It’s hard to remember that Lee Kwang Soo is actually a model-turned-actor when he is so funny on “Running Man!” Lee Kwang Soo shows off his actor side in this low-budget film which received great reviews from critics! In the film, he transforms into a fish-man due to a drug trial gone wrong. Park Bo Young and Lee Chun Hee also co-star in this movie.
2. “The Advocate: A Missing Body”
Lee Sun Gyun plays the part of a lawyer who wins 100 percent of his cases. But while he is defending someone who is accused of murder without any evidence, things go awry, and his pride is hurt. As you can guess from the title of the film, it’s a case involving a missing body!
3. “The Exclusive: Beat the Devil’s Tattoo”
An overly enthusiastic reporter played by Jo Jung Suk is tipped off on a serial murder, but makes a mistake with its publication. But soon, there are murders that follow his mistakes in print… Lee Ha Na and Lee Mi Sook always star in this film.
4. “The Phone”
Son Hyun Joo, the master of being the best villain ever, makes yet another memorable appearance. He plays the protagonist who receives a phone call from his wife who passed away a year ago. Danger surrounds the couple as the mystery of her death becomes clearer. Uhm Ji Won portrays the wife.
5. “It’s Him”
Joo Won loses his one and only sister, and he is willing to go to the end of the world to find the perpetrator. Apparently, a shaman helps him in his quest to find his sister’s killer. The actor will be able to show off his more tough and manly side in this exciting thriller. His co-stars include Yoo Hae Jin and Lee Yoo Young.
