2NE1 Reportedly the Group Making the

So YG wasn’t just trolling?

Local news source Maeil Kyungjae reports that according to a digital music distributor, 2NE1 will be releasing a new album. It’s unclear, however, if it will be a digital single, an EP, or a studio album. If this turns out to be true, 2NE1 will be making a comeback for the first time in almost two years. Their most recent release, the studio album “Crush,” swept charts.

Previously, YG Entertainment had released a “Who’s Next?” teaser which announced that the comeback or debut will be on November 21 at 21:00 (9:00 p.m.). This repetition of “21” had some people guessing that it would be a 2NE1 comeback, and now with this news, it looks like it just might be true.

Another local news source, Starnews, list four reasons why a 2NE1 comeback is likely. One, the 21 “Who’s Next?” teaser. Two, Teddy and Kush have formed a new label under YG, and Teddy is closely linked to 2NE1, and it is likely 2NE1 might release something under the new label. Three, member CL is still technically preparing to debut in the U.S., leaving her time to work with the group. And four, Yang Hyun Suk had previously denied 2NE1 was breaking up by saying that the group is expected to release something by the end of this year.

Do you guys think 2NE1 is next?
