Watch: MONSTA X Sets New Archery Record At "2016 Idol Star Athletics Championships"

It’s amazing how talented K-pop idols are!

For the Chuseok holiday, MBC aired its “2016 Idol Star Athletics Championships” special on September 15 KST.

For the preliminary round of male archery, it was BTOB vs MONSTA X and GOT7 vs BTS in the first round. MONSTA X and GOT7 won, moving to the next round. In the final round of male archery, it was MONSTA X (Shownu, Minhyuk, and I.M.) vs GOT7 (Jinyoung, Yugyeom, and JB). With both teams showing remarkable talent in the sport, it was a close race. However, with MONSTA X’s Minhyuk achieving a perfect 10 score three times in a row and no one scoring lower than 8 in their team, MONSTA X pulled ahead, winning the round and grabbing the gold. GOT7 earned silver, while BTS earned bronze.

MONSTA X earned a total of 91 points, setting a record and breaking the previous record of 90 points set by EXID. However, EXID won with 87 points this year for female archery.
