Stars Born In The Year Of The Rooster And Their Plans For 2017

2017 is the Year of the Rooster! Let’s celebrate the new year while reviewing stars born in the Year of the Rooster. Stars born in 1981 and 1993 were born in the Year of the Rooster. Check out some of their plans for 2017!

Rooster Actors

Park Bo Gum received much love in 2016 with “Reply 1988” and “Moonlight Drawn by Clouds.” He has started his Asia fan meeting tour in the new year. He has yet to pick his next acting project, but he previously revealed his desire to wear a school uniform in a youth drama.

Yoo Seung Ho had a busy 2016 and will be starring in MBC’s upcoming “Ruler: Master of the Mask” alongside Kim So Hyun.

Other actors born in 1993 include Seo Kang Joon, Lee Hyun Woo, and more. Kang Dong Won, Jo In Sung, Kim Rae Won, Kim Jae Won, and Lee Dong Wook are also roosters having been born in 1981.

Rooster Actresses

Jun Ji Hyun, Song Hye Kyo, Song Ji Hyo, Jang Nara, Jo Yeo Jeong, Jung Ryeo Won, and So Yoo Jin were all born in 1981.

There are a few rising 93-liner actresses that are receiving a lot of attention as of late. Lee Sun Bin has been enjoying much popularity following her appearance on “Squad 38.” She snagged a number of endorsement deals and is working on the MBC drama “Missing 9.”

Ryu Hwayoung received much praise following her acting in “Age of Youth.” She has been cast in a web drama that has three seasons. Her twin, Ryu Hyoyoung, is currently acting in the daily drama “Golden Pouch.”

Rooster Singers

Park Hyo Shin will continue to be active in musicals until February. He is currently acting in the musical “Phantom.”

IU recently revealed at her concert that she is preparing her new album. It looks like fans might be able to listen to her new album in 2017.

Apink’s Jung Eun Ji, Girl’s Day’s Minah, and f(x)’s Luna are other talented 93-liners with great vocals!

Guckkasten’s Ha Hyun Woo had a successful 2016 due to popularity gained from his appearance on “King of Masked Singer.” The singer previously mentioned that they will start working on new music in early 2017.

Rooster Boy Group And Girl Group Members

AOA has two 93-liner members in Hyejeong and Mina. The group will be making a comeback with their first studio album “Angel’s Knock” in January.

WINNER’s Song Mino and Kang Seung Yoon are also roosters. Song Mino has joined the third season of tvN’s “New Journey to the West.” WINNER will be preparing for a comeback as a four-member group following the departure of Nam Tae Hyun.

For GOT7, members JB and Mark are roosters. Like Winner’s Kang Seung Yoon, although JB was born in 1994, due to his early birthday, he is considered a rooster because of how the the lunar calendar works.

VIXX has Ravi and Hongbin as 93-liner members. Ravi will be working on his solo project “R.EAL1ZE” in January.

EXO’s D.O. and SHINee’s Taemin are expected to work on various solo acting and music projects in the new year as well. EXO’s Kai is also considered to be a Rooster according to the lunar calendar, although he was born in 1994, since it was early 1994.

BTS’ Suga is another busy 93-liner. He will be performing for BTS’s “WINGS” concert tour.
