Big Bang’s Japanese "Best of" Album Release Postponed

Not long ago Soompi reported that Universal J intended on releasing a compilation album entitled, “The Best of Big Bang”. Since the announcement was made the release date has been moved. In September, a poll was conducted in Japan asking, "Which Korean song do you want to hear in Japanese?" Big Bang’s 2008 hit claimed the top spot. “The Best of Big Bang” will see the debut of the group’s hit track.

T-ara Cancels All Year-End Award Show Appearances

T-ara announced that they will be missing all year-end music award shows this year due to their busy promotional schedules. The shows they are confirmed to miss include the 2011 Melon Music Awards, Mnet 2011 MAMA, and the Golden Disk Awards. T-ara has received invitations to attend the shows, however, their overseas promotions in China, Japan, and Taiwan will keep them from joining the annual music festivals.

Infinite Starts the Engine for Japanese Debut

Infinite is garnering a lot of attention before their Japanese debut. Their new album “BTD (Before the Dawn)” will be released on November 19. Infinite has put up billboards in different Japanese cities, Sibuya, Aoyama, Roppongi, Ginza, Hiroo, and 30 other streets. The billboard shows off Infinite with the caption “99.9% Synchronization Dance Vocal Group.” The seven members are shown wearing white suits. Because these billboards are in the areas that are densely populated, it is catching the attention of K-Pop fans and Japanese citizens alike.

This Year’s Top K-Pop Music Videos on YouTube

This year three K-Pop music videos have surpassed 20 million view on YouTube hits, while another nine surpassed 10 million. The artists behind this record are Super Junior, HyunA, 2NE1, followed by SNSD, Big Bang and Kara. However it is possible more will be added to the list during the remaining two months of the year.
