Davichi Is Number One for Three Weeks in a Row
Duo Davichi is taking the Korean music industry by storm. On September 23, Davichi’s "Don’t Say Goodbye" was reported as the number one song for the third week in a row on K-pop charts. What makes this a feat is the fierce competition between idol groups and singers who made their comebacks this month, including Kara, Sistar, Brown Eyed Girls and Sung Shi Kyung.
Brown Eyed Girls’ Agency, "Mnet Released Our Album Three Hours Early… We Will Take Legal Action"
The four member girl group Brown Eyed Girls’ agency revealed that Mnet.com had released Brown Eyed Girls’ new album three hours before scheduled. Nega Networks announced, “If Mnet.com does not come up with a reasonable explanation to why this occurred, we will fight back and take legal action.”
Kara Reveals Close-up Version of "Step"
DSP Media recently uploaded a new version of Kara’s music video, “Step.” Uploaded last September 22 on DSP’s official YouTube channel, the video has more close-up shots and less dance scenes from the actual music video.

Lee Seung Gi will appear on the “2011 Asia Song Festival.” The festival will be held on October 15 and is the 8th one. Lee Seung Gi proved that he was a true Hallyu star when his drama SBS’s “Shining Inheritance” was broadcast in 81 different countries. The show will have different Asian stars, such as Super Junior, SNSD, Perfume (The Japanese Techno-Pop Girl Group), and other Hong Kong and Chinese stars.
CN Blue Releases Teaser for "In My Head"
CN Blue has released the first teaser for their upcoming Japanese track “In My Head.” Uploaded last September 22 on their Japanese YouTube channel, the video is a thirty second teaser of the music video for “In My Head.” The video shows the boys in a dark area where the wind is blowing violently and various items fly past them. The video shows off a darker and edgier side of CN Blue.
One Way Release a New Cover on YouTube
One Way’s Peter and YoungSky recently released a cover video on YouTube. The video titled “Just Watch the Damn Thing” was uploaded on September 22 through One Way’s official YouTube channel. In the video, Peter and YoungSky perform a unique rap of “Georgie Porgie,” a popular English nursery rhyme and Michael Jackson’s “Billie Jean.”
2NE1 Continues Success in Japan with #1 on Japanese Music Charts
Along with their successful debut in Japan, powerhouse girl group 2NE1 struck gold once again with their songs from their first Japanese mini album “Nolza.” On Sept. 22, “Nolza” was released and following its debut it ranked #4 on Oricon Daily’s album charts as well as #1 on iTunes Japan and other pop album charts.
