After SBS’ music festival, it’s KBS’ turn to put on a show for K-Pop fans. With the theme of K-Pop as a Hallyu frontrunner, the 2011 KBS Gayo Daechukje gathered the top idols for a two-hour show of hit songs with a smattering of special numbers. It’s a big night for BEAST and B2TYs as “Fiction” was named 2011 KBS Song of the Year.

This is our seventh annual Soompi Gayo Awards event to recognize the top performers in Korean music in 2011, and we promise this year’s awards will be the best. Once again, the 2011 Soompi Gayo Awards will be announced on New Year’s Eve, December 31.

T-ara and Davichi to Release Duet Single on Christmas Eve

T-ara and Davichi will release a duet single on Christmas Eve under the title, “We Used to Be Lovers.” Produced by Cho Young Soo and K-Smith, the same people who wrote “Cry Cry,” “We Used to Be Lovers” will have heavy piano and violin sounds with heartbreaking lyrics. The song will also be featured at the end of T-ara’s upcoming 23-minute music video for “Lovey Dovey” in January.
