On July 26th through his M2DAY wrote, “The moment I woke up I received a call from my mother and took a picture of me with my swollen face,” “this is right next to my bed in my room.” He continued, “I am kind of embarrassed with my no-makeup look, it’s not like I have great skin, but because the quality of the picture isn’t great it is alright.”

In the update Dara made, she uploaded a picture of herself with the following inquiry posed at readers, “Why am I this ugly?”. Her harsh remark lead netizen’s to speculate what caused her to ask such a strange question in the first place. In turn she received positive feedback from fans as they left supportive comments in response to her post. “Who said that? Please don’t say that.”, “Unni, if that’s the case, how can I live on?”, “Everyone will think stuff like that once in a while~ Stay strong”.

It became official on July 18th (his birthday) as Taemin turned eighteen. Many messages of support, wishes, and congratulations were sent to him on his birthday by fans all over the world.
