Top Stars in Their Hanbok Attire for the Lunar New Year

In Korea, the Lunar New Year is celebrated for three days. People usually travel back to their hometowns to spend time with their families and eat, drink, play games and practice the ever-so-popular ritual of "saebae" or bowing. Just like the Chuseok holiday, people dress up in colorful, traditional Korean hanboks during this time. Amidst the celebrations and greetings, top stars are decking out in their top hanbok gear for the 2012 Lunar New Year.

Idol Research Part 2: Ideal Types and Allowances

On January 20, Ilgan Sports, a popular Korean newspaper in Seoul, did a special survey of idols, called Idol Research. It surveyed a total of 92 idols, 45 male and 47 female. The following idols were surveyed:
Male Idols: Jay Park, Boyfriend, BEAST, MBLAQ, Super Junior, C.N. Blue, Infinite, K.Will, Huh Gak, B1A4
Female Idols: Dal Shabet, Rainbow, miss A, Secret, SISTAR, A Pink, G.NA, Kara, 4minute, f(x)

Super Junior Wins Top Award at “21st Seoul Music Awards” (Winner List Included)

On January 19, Korea’s top artists were invited to the “21st Seoul Music Awards” held at the Seoul Olympic Gymnastics Stadium. Twelve of the top K-Pop artists were given the “Bonsang” award to recognize their work and popularity over the past year. But the “Daesang” award, given to the top artist of the year, was awarded to none other than Super Junior.

Winners Announced for 2nd Day of 26th Golden Disk Awards

On January 12, the second day of the 26th “Golden Disk Awards” was held at the Kyocera Dome in Osaka, Japan. On today’s show, hosted by F.T. Island’s Lee Hong Ki and miss A’s Suzy, the winners of the digital sales awards were announced (Check out the winners of yesterday’s physical album sales awards here).

New Year Special Idol Sageuk Comedy "Crown Princess Project" to Feature 12 Female Idols

A Lunar New Year special program featuring an idol sageuk (historic) comedy is currently in the works. KBS has revealed that the program will be called, "The Crown Princess Project – Restoring The Royal Family" and will air during the Lunar New Year. "The Crown Princess Project" is being called the idol version of "The Moon Embracing The Sun" and will be in a sageuk format with a comedic twist…
