Boom and Super Junior’s Lee Teuk will replace Kang Ho Dong for KBS’s “Star King.” As Soompi.com has reported earlier Kang Ho Dong’s current resignation meant that a new MC needed to be found for KBS’s “Star King.” “Star King’s” production team decided to use Boom and Lee Teuk as they have worked together in the past.

Kang Ho Dong to Step Down from MBC “Knee Drop Guru,” SBS “Star King” and “Strong Heart”

On Sept. 21, the much embattled show host Kang Ho Dong has announced his decision to step down from three of his main TV shows, including MBC “Knee Drop Guru,” SBS “Star King” and “Strong Heart.” According to multiple reports, Kang Ho Dong recently met with the production teams and told his decision to withdraw from all three shows.

Will Kang Ho Dong Ever Return?

Kang Ho Dong has left. Even though he used the word "temporary", no one is exactly sure how long he will be gone. Even Kang Ho Dong himself is unsure about this. After he announced his temporary retirement, there was a huge fuss. There are four programs that are in critical condition since his departure: KBS’s "1N2D", MBC’s "Golden Fish", SBS’s "Strong Heart" and "Star King". The PD’s of all four programs got together for an emergency meeting regarding the future of these shows.
