VIXX’s Ravi Talks About Friendship With Ha Sung Woon, Producing For Other Artists, And More

On the March 11 broadcast of MBC’s “Idol Radio,” VIXX’s Ravi appeared as a guest to promote his latest solo album “R.OOK BOOK.”

Ravi started off by introducing his newest title track “Tuxedo.” The artist explained that the track encourages people to get away from the boring routines of daily life and live luxuriously.

Following the introduction, BTOB’s Jung Ilhoon asked Ravi when he feels the most luxurious in life. Ravi answered, “I feel the most luxurious when I’m on stage. I always pour all my energy into preparing for performances. I don’t hesitate on using money.”

Ravi recently confirmed that he is the idol with the third highest number of copyrighted songs. When asked about his process of producing tracks for other artists, Ravi said that he works in accordance with the singer’s style. He added, “When I’m directing [a track], I don’t make them to do things the way I want. Instead, we share what we each think about the track, and I try to help them to express their own thoughts.”

Ravi is also known for being a part of the famous “Friendship Parkas” with Ha Sung Woon, SHINee’s Taemin, BTS’s Jimin, EXO’s Kai, and HOTSHOT’s Timoteo. Regarding his friendship with Ha Sung Woon, Ravi commented, “I’ve known him for a very long time. He helped me with my tracks in the past by singing the guides several times. (A guide song is a rough copy of a track that helps singers practice the vocal melody).” He concluded, “I knew he is a person with shining characteristics back then, and I’m happy to see him receiving more and more love from many people.”

Throughout the broadcast, Ravi also performed his latest tracks including “Tuxedo,” “Bomb,” “Runway,” and “R.OOK BOOK.”
