GOT7 Shares Thoughts On Their Songs Being Covered On "Produce X 101"

On May 20, GOT7 held press interviews ahead of the release of their new album.

The members were asked about “Produce X 101” trainees covering “Girls Girls Girls” and “Lullaby” on the survival program.

Youngjae shared, “Mark showed me ‘Produce X 101,’ and I was very thankful that they know us and are singing our songs. It is an opportunity for us to look back on our past promotions and think about what we could have done better and also feel proud while thinking, ‘We worked hard.'”

JB commented, “I thought that this might be how the owner of a hidden but good neighborhood restaurant might feel. Our songs being used sort of gave me hope as I felt, ‘We still got it.'”

Mark continued, “We also covered songs by our senior artists a lot in our early days. Cover performances are usually done for hit songs, but I didn’t think that we have any songs that are at that level. I am amazed and thankful when our songs are covered.”

He also remarked regarding the “Lullaby” performance from “Produce X 101,” “‘Lullaby’ is actually a very hard song, but they did a good job.”
