“Unanswered Questions” Confirms Han Hyo Joo Was Not Actress Involved In Burning Sun Scandal Episode

Han Hyo Joo’s legal representative has issued an additional statement regarding the allegations made during a recent episode of SBS’s “Unanswered Questions.”

In the broadcast, it was alleged that a cosmetics company had sponsored Burning Sun and that during a gathering between the two parties, an actress had used a light stick to hit people’s faces. Allegations were made that the actresses had exhibited symptoms like drooling and bloodshot eyes, suggesting that she had ingested drugs.

Following the broadcast, cosmetics company JMsolution and Han Hyo Joo were placed under scrutiny, causing both the company and the actress’s agency BH Entertainment to deny any ties to the incident. The actress has also taken legal action against 33 people for spreading false rumors about her alleged connection to Burning Sun.

On May 31, BH Entertainment’s legal representative Kim Moon Hee released an official statement confirming that Han Hyo Joo was not the actress mentioned in the “Unanswered Questions” episode.

The statement reads as follows:

This is an additional official statement in regards to the circulation of false information regarding actress Han Hyo Joo.

We previously made clear that Han Hyo Joo is simply a model for JMsolution. She has not once stepped foot in Burning Sun, nor did she attend the event held on November 23, 2018. Despite this, false information has continued to spread recklessly, so I requested the production team of SBS’s “Unanswered Questions” to fact check these details in order to correct this.

As a result, the production team of “Unanswered Questions” have confirmed through an official document that the “Actress A” mentioned in the “The Secret Private Lives of Hwang Ha Na and the VIPs of Burning Sun” episode (broadcast on May 4th) of the SBS series is not Han Hyo Joo.

We inform you that we will take further legal action and strict measures without lenience nor settlements, in the event that [malicious commenters] intentionally post false information or malicious slander in the future as well.

Thank you.
