Watch: Kim Sejeong, Yeon Woo Jin, And More Share Their Excitement During

On July 19, KBS shared a video from the first script reading for their upcoming drama “I Wanna Hear Your Song.”

The script reading began with the actors introducing themselves and their role. “I Wanna Hear Your Song” is a mystery romantic comedy about a timpanist named Hong Yi Young (gugudan’s Kim Sejeong), who loses all her memories of the night of a murder. When she encounters a suspicious tone-deaf man named Jang Yoon (Yeon Woo Jin), she sets out on a quest to discover the truth.

Other members of the cast include Song Jae Rim, who plays the brilliant orchestra conductor Nam Joo Wan; T-ara’s Jiyeon, who plays the beautiful and popular violinist Ha Eun Joo; and JBJ95’s Sanggyun, who plays hip-hop dancer and irresponsible boyfriend Moon Jae Hyung.

In the video, Yeon Woo Jin rehearsed a scene in which his tone-deaf character has to sing a 2AM song and said in an interview, “I think that I gained strength from the bright and energetic atmosphere that fits the genre of ‘romantic comedy.’ I’m glad that we could end this first rehearsal on a good note. It feels like the beginning of spring.”

In her own interview, Kim Sejeong praised the uniqueness of each character and said, “When the actors match up during the script reading, it’s like the scenes come alive in my head. I really want to start filming soon.”

Song Jae Rim said, “Everyone has really good energy, so I think the drama will turn out well. It has a lot of different genres mixed in, so I’m sure that everyone will bring out the best of their acting.”

Jiyeon said, “I’m greeting people as an actor for the first time in a long time. I am nervous because it’s been a while, but I’m glad to be working with such talented people.”
