September Variety Star Brand Reputation Rankings Announced

The Korean Business Research Institute has published this month’s brand reputation rankings for variety stars!

The rankings were determined through an analysis of the consumer participation, media coverage, interaction, and community awareness indexes of 50 popular entertainers, using big data collected from August 2 to September 1.

Yoo Jae Suk topped the list for the third month in a row, with his brand reputation index rising by 15.33 percent since last month for a total score of 2,448,906.

High-ranking phrases in the star’s keyword analysis included his new variety show “How Do You Play?”, “Lee Hyori,” and “Park Myung Soo,” while his highest-ranking related terms included “funny,” “like,” and “simple.” Yoo Jae Suk’s positivity-negativity analysis also revealed a score of 82.59 percent percent positive reactions.

Lee Hyori also maintained her spot at No. 2 in the rankings this month, enjoying a 31.15 percent increase in her score for a total brand reputation index of 2,419,053 for September. Park Na Rae rose to No. 3 with a brand reputation index of 2,023,767 for the month, marking a 41.80 percent increase in her score since August.

Super Junior’s Kim Heechul, who joined SBS’s “My Ugly Duckling” as a regular cast member last week, shot up to No. 4 on the list after seeing a 95.92 percent increase in his score since last month. The star scored a total brand reputation index of 1,804,788 for September.

Finally, Seo Jang Hoon rounded out the top five for this month with a total index of 1,765,118, marking a 92.75 percent rise in his score since August.
