Report On “Road To Kingdom” Describes 1st Round Of Competition + Mnet Responds

As fans continue to anticipate the show’s premiere, the contestants of Mnet’s “Road to Kingdom” have now filmed the first round!

On April 8, it was reported that the seven participating groups—PENTAGON, ONF, Golden Child, The Boyz, VERIVERY, ONEUS, and TOO—filmed the first round of the competition.

A source from Mnet confirmed this, saying, “Filming for the first round of the competition took place on April 7. The filming for ‘Road to Kingdom’ competitions will take place without an audience for the time being in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19.”

An unconfirmed article by OSEN reported that the participants performed covers of hits from top boy groups such as H.O.T., Shinhwa, TVXQ, SHINee, Block B, and SEVENTEEN. The idols reportedly put on spectacular performances with rearranged songs to fit each group’s style.

In response to these details about the participants’ first performances, a source from Mnet stated, “Please find out through the broadcast.”

“Road to Kingdom” recently held a pre-show poll to determine viewers’ preferences ahead of its premiere on April 30. Check out sneak peeks of groups’ performances and teaser!
