Tiffany In Talks Along With Song Joong Ki And Shin Hyun Been For New JTBC Drama
On June 29, SPOTV News reported that Tiffany had been cast in JTBC’s upcoming drama “Chaebol Family’s Youngest Son” (literal title). Following reports, a source from JTBC stated, “We’ve sent a casting offer for ‘Chaebol Family’s Youngest Son’ to Tiffany. It’s not confirmed.”
Based on a hit web novel of the same name, “Chaebol Family’s Youngest Son” is about someone who was killed after being framed for embezzlement by a chaebol family he was loyal to for over 10 years. He is reborn as the youngest son of the chaebol family and plans revenge as he works to gradually take over.
As announced previously, Song Joong Ki is currently in talks to play the male lead Jin Do Joon, and Shin Hyun Been is in talks to play the prosecutor Seo Min Young who works at the Seoul Central District Prosecutors’ Office. Lee Sung Min is also considering a role in the drama.
If Tiffany accepts the role, she will be making her small screen debut with this drama. She has been offered the role of a Korean character who has lived overseas, which will suit Tiffany well since she was born in San Francisco and is of Korean descent.
Tiffany debuted in 2007 as a member of Girls’ Generation. After her contract with SM Entertainment expired in 2018, she signed with the U.S. talent agency Paradigm Talent Agency and began her solo activities. Currently, Tiffany is busy starring in the musical “Chicago” as the leading role of Roxie Hart, and she has received praise for her stable acting and extraordinary portrayal of the character. Tiffany will also be appearing on Mnet’s “Girls Planet 999” as a K-pop Master (mentor), and she’s hosting KBS 2TV’s “Pet Vitamin.” Viewers are excited to see if Tiffany will soon join the small screen.
