BTS' Suga And Jimin, TWICE, TXT, SEVENTEEN, IVE, NCT 127, And Stray Kids Sweep Top Spots On Billboard's World Albums Chart

Billboard has published its World Albums chart for the week ending on May 6!

BTSSuga’s first official solo album “D-DAY,” which he released under the name Agust D, entered the World Albums chart at No. 1. “D-DAY” also debuted at No. 1 on three other Billboard charts this week—the Top Album Sales chart, Top Current Album Sales chart, and Top Rap Albums chart—making him the first K-pop artist in history to reach No. 1 on the Top Rap Albums chart. Additionally, Suga tied his bandmate Jimin’s record for the highest-ranking Korean solo album on the Billboard 200, where “D-DAY” debuted at No. 2.

After four consecutive weeks at No. 1, Jimin’s solo debut album “FACE” fell to No. 2 in its fifth week on the World Albums chart. “FACE” also spent a fifth consecutive week on the Billboard 200, where it became the first Korean album in history to spend five weeks in the top 70.

TWICE’s latest mini album “READY TO BE” stayed strong at No. 4 in its seventh consecutive week on the World Albums chart, in addition to remaining on the Billboard 200 for the seventh week in a row—making TWICE the first female K-pop artist in history to chart three different albums for seven weeks.

Meanwhile, TXT’s “The Name Chapter: TEMPTATION” came in at No. 5 in its 13th consecutive week on the World Albums chart. The mini album also spent a 13th week on the Billboard 200, where TXT overtook BLACKPINK to become the K-pop artist with the second most cumulative weeks on the chart (across all their albums).

BTS’s anthology album “Proof” ranked No. 6 in its 46th consecutive week on the World Albums chart, while the group’s 2020 album “Map of the Soul: 7” climbed back up to No. 11 in its 136th non-consecutive week.

SEVENTEEN’s new mini album “FML” made a strong debut at No. 9 on the World Albums chart, even though sales data for the physical version of the album is not reflected in this week’s charts due to its shipment schedule in the United States.

IVE’s first studio album “I’ve IVE” took No. 12 in its third consecutive week on the World Albums chart, and NCT 127’s repackaged album “Ay-Yo” followed at No. 13 in its eighth consecutive week.

Finally, Stray Kids’ “MAXIDENT” held relatively steady at No. 14 in its 26th non-consecutive week on the chart.

Congratulations to all of the artists!
