May Advertisement Model Brand Reputation Rankings Announced

The Korean Business Research Institute has revealed this month’s brand reputation rankings for advertisement models!

The rankings were determined through an analysis of consumer behavior, using big data collected from April 18 to May 18. The Korean Business Research Institute evaluated the participation, communication, media, and social values of popular advertisement models in order to calculate each star’s total brand reputation index for May.

BLACKPINK topped this month’s list with a brand reputation index of 1,635,215, marking a 1.69 percent increase in their score since April.

High-ranking phrases in BLACKPINK’s keyword analysis included “Busan Expo,” “aircraft,” and “rapping,” while their highest-ranking related terms included “release,” “cheer on,” and “promote.” The group’s positivity-negativity analysis also revealed a score of 87.95 percent positive reactions.

NewJeans came in at a close second with a brand reputation index of 1,600,113, followed by trot singer Lim Young Woong in third with an index of 1,559,416.

Meanwhile, soccer star Son Heung Min rose to fourth place after seeing a 25.61 percent increase in his brand reputation index since last month, bringing his total score to 1,521,096 for May.

Finally, BTS rounded out the top five with a brand reputation index of 1,486,203, marking a 4.78 percent rise in their score since April.
