Jun Ji Hyun Returns to Drama Filming After 14 Years for “My Lover from the Stars”

Actress Jun Ji Hyun was last seen on the small screen 14 years ago in the 1999 drama “Happy Together.” She will be making her return soon through the highly-anticipated SBS drama “My Lover from the Stars” (previously known as “The Man from the Stars”).

The first stills of Jun Ji Hyun from “My Lover from the Stars” have been released from HB Entertainment. In the drama, the actress plays top star Chun Song Yi, and the stills show Jun Ji Hyun styled as such, looking sophisticated and trendy with her long, sleek hair and leather jacket.

After her first day of filming, Jun Ji Hyun commented, “I was able to film happily and comfortably despite my nervousness in filming for a drama after so much time due to the care of the director, writer, and staff.”

“My Lover from the Stars” is based on the 1609 spotting of a UFO recorded in the Annals of the Joseon Dynasty. The drama follows the love story of an alien who came to Earth 400 years ago, Do Min Joon (played by Kim Soo Hyun), and top star Chun Song Yi. It airs after “The Heirs” finishes its run in December.
