F.T. Island’s Lee Hongki Cast in KBS Special Drama with Japanese Actress Reiko Takashima
F.T. Island’s Lee Hongki and Japan’s veteran actress Reiko Takashima have been cast in KBS’s upcoming special drama series, “Noriko Goes to Seoul.” The new drama, produced to celebrate Korea’s largest national holiday, Chusok, is about a Japanese woman who falls in love with K-Pop and works her way up to audition for a K-Pop singer. Lee Hongki stars as Min Ha, a trainee singer that gets to meet Noriko, played by Takashima, and teaches her how to sing.
Tiger JK, T, Simon D, and Dynamic Duo on “Running Man” Hip Hop Special
SBS’ “Running Man” is planning a hip hop special. On August 10th the “Running Man” PD Cho Hyo Jin stated, “We currently filmed the hip hop special for Running Man. We always wanted to have a hip hop special. For the show we had Tiger JK, T, Simon D, and Dynamic Duo.” When asked about the concept for the filming he stated, “We still have some more filming left so it’s difficult to go into the specific details, as you all know Yoo Jae-Seok enjoys hip hop and he is close to Tiger JK. The filming atmosphere was very good.”
KBS in Emergency Mode: Kang Ho Dong Wants to Leave "One Night Two Days"
Kang Hodong recently announced that he wants to leave “One Night Two Days” and end his appearance after filming for the end of August. It is being said that he has told fellow members on the show that he would want to leave. Currently KBS is in an emergency state as they are trying to stop Kang Hodong from leaving. The reason is that Kang Hodong cannot be removed from the show as he is the show’s symbol and also the eldest. Currently, all higher ups at KBS are trying to convince Kang Hodong to stay.

DBSK’s Yunho will join the casting crew of KBS’s upcoming drama, “Poseidon.” According to the production company, Yunho was supposed to be one of the main characters of the drama, however, due to his busy overseas schedules, they decided to keep him as a cameo role.

Shin Se Kyung and Jang Hyuk to Begin Filming "Deep-Rooted Tree"
Photos from the upcoming historical drama "Deep-Rooted Tree", starring Shin Se Kyung, Jang Hyuk, and Han Seok Kyu, have been released. The drama, which centers around a murder conspiracy during the reign of King Sejong, also features Song Joong Ki. Han Seok Kyu plays the elder King, while Song plays him at a younger age.
Warrior Baek Dong Soo Still Number One for Mon-Tue Dramas
SBS’ Mon-Tue drama “Warrior Baek Dong Soo” maintained their position at #1 for TV viewer ratings. According to AGB Nielson media research, the episode of “Warrior Baek Dong Soo” that broadcast on August 9th had 15.9% viewer ratings. Although the ratings decreased down from 16.1% for the episode that was broadcast on August 8th, but it did nothing to change its position as number one. The episode of “Warrior Baek Dong Soo” on August 9th had Yoo Seung Ho finally becoming a true killer. Yoo Seung Ho’s character killed another.
