A few days ago, the Wonder Girls released the music video for their new U.S single "The DJ Is Mine" which would be featured on their Teen Nick eponymous movie Original Soundtrack. Today, Teen Nick revealed the latest teaser of the Wonder Girls TV movie "The Wonder Girls" which relates the struggle of five foreign girls who dream of making it big as singers in America. As the story unfolds and the plot thickens, the girls will encounter many obstacles in their way to stardom. They will be battling it up against another girl group, the School Gyrls in a competition held at the Apollo Theater. Love will also be part of the journey as we can see in the teaser.
Super Junior Remakes Hit Turbo Song "Remember"
Kim Jong Guk’s debut group Turbo’s hit song “Remember" was remade by Super Junior’s K.R.Y. (Kyuhyun, Ryeowook, and Yesung) For Yoon Il Sang’s 21st year anniversary album “I’m 21” Super Junior’s K.R.Y. sang the song. The CEO of Nega Networks Lance stated, “Super Junior’s K.R.Y. will sing a version of Turbo’s ‘Remember’ that does not stray too far from the original. It will feature their smooth vocals.”
Big Bang to Appear on Asahi TV’s "Music Station" January 20
Big Bang will appear on the popular Japanese music program, Asahi TV’s “Music Station” on January 20. Big Bang’s comeback is forecast for February and that pushed back the debut date for YG’s new girl group. Originally Big Bang’s new album was slated for a March release. This would have fit in perfectly for their 2012 Big Show concert. However, the preparations for the album were ahead of schedule.
SNSD Writes History in Japan with “Girls’ Generation”
SNSD’s first Japanese album, “Girls’ Generation,” has set a new record in Japan! On January 16, Japan’s Oricon chart said SNSD’s Japanese debut album, “Girls’ Generation,” sold an additional 16,000 copies last week, putting them at #5 on the weekly Oricon Album charts. This is the 17th consecutive week where the album has placed in the Top 10 of the chart, which is the longest record by any Korean album. Their total sale has reached 780,000 copies since its release on June 1 last year.
