Ali to Release Official Album "Soul-Ri" on December 13

The soulful singer Ali will release her first official album “Soul-Ri” on December 13. The title song for her official album “Don’t Act So Countrified” and BEAST’s Yong Jun Hyung will feature on the song. The song will have a hip-hop style rhythm with a reggae melody. There are 4 songs on the album that Ali has written and produced. Songs that show off her vocal skills include “365 Days” and “What Is This?” Ali stated, “I am happy that I was able to release an official album within two years of my debut. I love this album even more because it includes songs that I wrote which did not have a chance to shine.”

Kara’s "Super Girl" Certified Platinum in Japan

"Super Girl" was released on November 23 and has been breaking records and setting new bars with every new achievement it unlocked. In just its first week alone, it sold 275,206 units, the highest record set by any Korean girl group in Japan. Not only that, but the album also topped the rankings on daily, weekly, and monthly charts.
As of December 10, the Japanese Record Association has declared that the album has officially gone Platinum.

DBSK, Kara and SNSD to perform on "MUSIC STATION SUPER LIVE 2011"

The 30 artists set to appear on TV Asahi’s special year-end music show "MUSIC STATION SUPER LIVE 2011" in Japan have been revealed, and performances from DBSK, Kara and SNSD have been confirmed. DBSK, Kara and SNSD are the only Korean acts set to appear on the year-end special, which will air on December 23. They will be performing alongside the likes of KAT-TUN, Koda Kumi, SMAP, Arashi and even Lady GaGa.

Single Review: Infinite – "Lately"

It’s safe to say that 2011 has been very good to Infinite. With multiple releases and so many different opportunities for exposure, Infinite have indeed cemented their place in K-Pop this year. And of course, to cap off the year, "Lately" is Infinite’s last hurrah for 2011.
