Taiwanese Woman Almost Loses Eyesight Watching Korean Dramas

A 40-year old Taiwanese woman almost lost her eyesight after watching too much Korean TV dramas, it was reported today by Taiwanese local media. According to the report, this woman had recently watched Korean TV dramas for three straight days with only two hours of sleep in between. After realizing her eyesight had turned blurry, the woman rushed to the hospital only to find out that she was diagnosed with malignant glaucoma that could possibly make her go blind.

Kim Dong Wan to Play Independence Fighter Lee Yook Sa

Kim Dong Wan will star in a two-part series to air on MBC this month. The actor/singer has been cast as the male lead of the special drama, "Zenith," which will premiere on August 15.

Kim said, "I was offered the role and after reading the script for the shown I couldn’t help but be immersed in the character Lee Yook Sa." Lee Yook Sa was a patriot and poet who devoted his life to Korea’s liberation from Japanese rule in the early 20th century.

Sector 7: Ha Ji Won, "People Said that My Character Was Scarier Than the Monster"

Through “Sector 7” Ha Ji Won confessed that she wanted to try and show a female warrior that was as good as Hollywood actresses. Ha Ji Won appeared on “Baek Ji-Yeon’s People Inside” that will be broadcast on August 14th. She stated, “I heard that it’s better to portray a Hollywood actress more than an Asian actress for Sector 7, I wanted to break out of that mold. However, after watching the movie my friends told me that I was scarier than the monster. I guess I was pretty scary in the film after all.”

Kim Yu-Na on Finishing Up Filming for “Kiss and Cry”

The SBS variety show “Kim Yu-Na’s Kiss and Cry” the emcee and judge Kim Yu-Na gave her remarks for finishing the last filming of the show. According to SBS, Kim Yu-Na appeared at the Ilsan SBS studio on August 9th to film the final episode. For the final episode, there were no disqualifications but the participants were ranked between number one and four. Kim Yu-Na stated, “Months ago the members of the show couldn’t stand properly on the ice but now they are doing spins, jumps, and lifts they are so great, I feel as proud as a mother would.”
