After being prosecuted for tax evasions and eventually taking a temporary retirement from the entertainment industry on September 9, there has been discussion on whether or not Kang Ho Dong will be able to have a proper goodbye on the show KBS “1 Night 2 Days.” Having led to program to being the top variety program for 4 years, it’s been the talk among viewers considering that they’ve all grown attached to the MC.

Kang Ho Dong has left. Even though he used the word "temporary", no one is exactly sure how long he will be gone. Even Kang Ho Dong himself is unsure about this. After he announced his temporary retirement, there was a huge fuss. There are four programs that are in critical condition since his departure: KBS’s "1N2D", MBC’s "Golden Fish", SBS’s "Strong Heart" and "Star King". The PD’s of all four programs got together for an emergency meeting regarding the future of these shows.
