Big Bang Met with Great Enthusiasm in Their First Visit to Taiwan

YG Entertainment’s BIGBANG have arrived at Taiwan and have recieved a great reception from local fans, setting a record for the biggest crowd for a foriegn artist. Over 1200 fans had gathered at Taiwan’s Taoyuan airport on April 9 to welcome BIGBANG. When they arrived, BIGBANG were said to be amazed by the large crowds and greated their fans with a bright smile. A large quantity of fans present at the airport held placards asking BIGBANG to hold a concert in Taiwan, with local broadcasters capturing every moment of this event and airing it in their respective news programs.

Earlier today, SBS “Bae Ki Wan, Choi Young Ah, and Jo Hyung Ki’s Good Morning” treated Big Bang fans with a blast from the past. The episode showed pre-debut moments of each member. Viewers were especially drawn to Daesung’s clip, which showed then-high-school student Daesung singing. He appeared very shy and embarrassed, staring at the floor as he sang.

Big Bang Daesung and Seungri to Join IU as Special MCs of "Inkigayo"

Big Bang’s Daesung and Seungri will fill in for KARA’s Goo Hara and Nicole, who are in Japan for their upcoming concert, as temporary MCs for this weekend’s episode of “Inkigayo.” Having hosted MBC “Music Core” in 2008, Daesung and Seungri already have the experience of emceeing a live music program, and fans can’t wait to see their interaction with IU.

Super Junior Voted as "Best Korean Language Teacher"

Kyung Hee University Institute of International Education conducted a K-Pop survey on 524 foreigners in Korea from March 26 until March 31. On the topic of "Which celebrity would be the best Korean language teacher?" Super Junior was voted first with 22.1% of the votes, followed by TVXQ (14%), Girls Generation (12.5%) and Big Bang (9.6%). For "Most Desirable Celebrity Tour Guide" category, 37.7% of the participants voted for Girls Generation. Super Junior (20.2%), 2PM (10.2%), and Big Bang (8.6%) were also ranked at the top 4.
