On an episode of SBS’s Late Night TV Entertainment, which aired March 31, the topic of Daesung’s life after being acquitted of charges came up.

Daesung Acquitted of Victim’s Death in Car Accident

On August 29th, the Seoul Prosecutor’s office dismissed charges against Big Bang’s Daesung over the death of a motorcyclist that was involved in a car accident in late May. The prosecutor’s office said no sufficient evidence was found to prove the victim was alive at the time of Daesung’s contact with him, and it’s hard to completely rule out the possibility of the motorcyclist being killed from his initial crash into the streetlamp.

False Rumors Spread About Daesung Getting Married

So what exactly has Daesung been doing? There was a brief glimpse when we saw a picture of him, (taken by a fan,) on what seemed like a church retreat, but other than that the details seem to be few and far between. There are, however, rumors that might indicate to what he has been doing, well, maybe not.

Daesung’s Latest Photo Revealed

A photo of Daesung that claims to have been taken recently has been posted in a local online community on August 8th, under the title “Daesung’s first appearance in a long time.” In the photo, Daesung looks gaunt and slimmer than the past, appearing in a serious facial expression without his trademark smile. The person who uploaded the photo stated, “This photo was reportedly taken during his church retreat. I feel so bad.”

Daesung to be Re-Summoned for Further Investigation

Yesterday Soompi reported on the trying relations between YG Entertainment and the victim’s family. As the family attempts to come to terms with their son’s death as well as both parties coming to an agreement on a monetary settlement for the incident. These talks have been going on since the accident had happened, all of this before any charges had actually been made.
