Yoo Seung Ho Cast as Male Lead for “Propose Mission”

Yoo Seung Ho was recently cast as the male lead for the TV Josun’s new drama “Propose Mission.” The drama is a fantasy melodrama based on a Japanese drama of the same name. The drama has themes of time-travel. It is basically about a character who gets to travel back in time and tries to protect his first love. Yoo Seung Ho’s character is “Kang Baek Ho.” At a friend’s wedding he comes to the realization that he actually loves her.

The SBS historical drama “Warrior Baek Dong Soo” aired its final episode on Oct 11., followed by a Behind-The-Scenes Special that was revealed for the first time. What captured the viewers’ interest during the Special was 18-year-old Yoo Seung Ho, also popularly known as “Korea’s Younger Brother.” Despite taking on the dark and tragic role of Yeo Woon, who was born with an innate desire to kill, Yoo Seung Ho proved to retain his star status not only with the viewers, but also with his colleagues.

SBS Extends Warrior Baek Dong Soo by Six Episodes

On September 6, SBS came to an agreement with the drama production company and have officially declared that Warrior Baek Dong Soo will be extended by 6 more episodes. A representative of SBS stated, “Warrior Baek Dong Soo is bringing in a new wave of SBS historical dramas. The show is being loved and we have long considered extending it, the extension of the show will be natural.”

Yoon So Yi Transforms Into "Portrait of a Beauty"

Yoon So Yi, who currently stars in the SBS drama "Warrior Baek Dong Soo," will appear in the September issue of W magazine with a reinterpretation of the 2008 historical movie, "Mi In Do" ("Portrait of a Beauty"). The movie is about a talented Joseon-era woman who must take over her brother’s identity as a painter after he commits suicide. This liberal twist on an old story suited the concept of the pictorial, which was meant to be a modern take on old-style beauty. To achieve this amalgamation, the stylists mixed modern and traditional hanbok and makeup. The result was a gorgeous fusion of modern and traditional beauty.

Warrior Baek Dong Soo Still Number One for Mon-Tue Dramas

SBS’ Mon-Tue drama “Warrior Baek Dong Soo” maintained their position at #1 for TV viewer ratings. According to AGB Nielson media research, the episode of “Warrior Baek Dong Soo” that broadcast on August 9th had 15.9% viewer ratings. Although the ratings decreased down from 16.1% for the episode that was broadcast on August 8th, but it did nothing to change its position as number one. The episode of “Warrior Baek Dong Soo” on August 9th had Yoo Seung Ho finally becoming a true killer. Yoo Seung Ho’s character killed another.

Warrior Baek Dong Soo: Stays at #1 for Mon-Tue TV Ratings

SBS’s Mon-Tue drama “Warrior Baek Dong Soo” achieved number one for viewership ratings in its time slot. According to the AGB Nielson Ratings, the episode of “Warrior Baek Dong Soo” that aired on August 1st received 16.3%. On July 26th the viewership rating was 16.7%, although Augst 1st ratings reduced by 0.4% “Warrior Baek Dong Soo” maintained number one. The other two dramas that play in the same time slot, MBC’s “Gye Baek” and KBS 2TV’s “Spy Myungwol” each respectively had 10.1% and 7.2%.
