The Wonder Girls will comeback early November! In September, the Wonder Girls filmed “Wonder Girls at the Apollo” for a month. Afterwards, ever since they returned to South Korea in October they have been working on their new album and filming the music video. As we have reported earlier, the Wonder Girls are moving away from the “retro concept” they have used in the past, they are going for a concept that is more mature and refined.

Representatives of the Wonder Girls stated their thoughts on having to face SNSD for their comeback. In summation, the Wonder Girls will focus on making a more complete album instead of focusing on the competition. For this, the Wonder Girls are focusing on recording their album. A representative of JYP Entertainment stated on October 17, “It would be a lie to say that we do not care about SNSD’s comeback timing. However, instead of focusing on competition we will focus more on making a better album.”

A national survey was conducted from October 7 to 14 on an internet movie site called Max Movie (www.maxmovie.com). The survey asked the site viewers, “Which idol has had the biggest influence and contributed the most to the K-Pop Boom?” SNSD was ranked as #1 as the idol to have had the most influence in leading the K-Pop Boom or Hallyu Wave.

JYP Updates that Wonder Girls Are Filming Right Now

Singer and producer, Park Jin Young, updated the recent activities and whereabouts of the Wonder Girls. “Although the girls have to act and say their lines all in English, they are doing great. The legendary producer Timbaland recently supported the Wonder Girls on his twitter. As you can see on the screen shot, Timbaland wrote “@WonderGirls yo @Byrd757 showed me sum of yall work. im digging it keep up the good work.” Byrd757 is the Twitter for Brian Byrd, a studio manager of “Thomas Crown Studio,” for those of you that don’t know, that is the private recording studio that Timbaland built. For those of you that don’t know him, Timbaland is a producer that has worked with many of the big names in the U.S. music industry such as: Justin Timberlake, Madonna, the Pussycat Dolls, Omarion, Jay-Z, etc. Sometimes he has also provided vocals for songs as well.
