January Variety Show Brand Reputation Rankings Announced
The Korean Business Research Institute has revealed this month’s brand reputation rankings for variety shows!
The rankings were determined through an analysis of the consumer participation, interaction, media coverage, community awareness, and viewership indexes of 50 popular variety programs, using big data collected from December 3 to January 4.
MBC’s “I Live Alone,” which recently won the Variety Program of the Year Award at the 2018 MBC Entertainment Awards, took first place on this month’s list. The show enjoyed a 72.44 percent increase in its brand reputation index since last month, scoring a total of 13,951,761 for January.
High-ranking phrases in the program’s keyword analysis included “Park Na Rae,” “Jun Hyun Moo,” and “Han Hye Jin,” while its highest-ranking related terms included “funny,” “happy,” and “active.”
SBS’s “My Ugly Duckling,” which snagged the Program of the Year Award at the 2018 SBS Entertainment Awards, took second place in the rankings with a brand reputation index of 9,588,948.
SBS’s “Baek Jong Won’s Alley Restaurant” came in third place for the month with a brand reputation index of 8,561,521.
