Rookie Group Debuts That Are Expected To Take 2019 By Storm

2019 has a strong lineup of new girl and boy groups that are waiting to debut!

Agencies that are in charge of global-scale groups, such as TWICE and BTS, are expected to produce powerful rookie groups in 2019.

On January 14, JYP Entertainment confirmed that the first new girl group since TWICE is gearing up for their debut. The group is expected to debut soon as they have already completed filming for their music video.

Since JYP Entertainment has shown their strength in girl groups with Wonder Girls, miss A, and TWICE, the public has already shown much interest for the new girl group. In particular, Shin Ryu Jin from JTBC’s “MIXNINE,” Hwang Yeji from SBS’s “The Fan,” and Lee Chae Ryeong from Mnet’s “SIXTEEN” have been drawing a lot of attention from fans.

Furthermore, Big Hit Entertainment is releasing a new boy group for the first time in six years after BTS. Currently, TXT has been revealing teasers of their members one at a time. With the unveiling of the first members Yeonjun and Soobin, the group has already taken over Twitter’s worldwide trends, trended on YouTube, and received a lot of spotlight from both domestic and overseas media.

Lee Dae Hwi and Park Woo Jin from Wanna One along with MXM’s Lim Young Min and Kim Dong Hyun are also planning to debut again this year with the new group temporarily known as Brand New Boys. The members are working hard with Brand New Music’s operation team to release a well-prepared group with high production quality. More details about the members and the group will be revealed later on in the year.

YG Entertainment is also wrapping up “YG Treasure Box” to debut a new boy group to follow in the footsteps of BIGBANG, WINNER, and iKON. The members of the new group will be determined when the show comes to a close this month.

MBC survival show “Under 19” will decide the members of the final group on the finale episode, which will air on February 2.

Fans are excited to hear news of a fourth season of “Produce 101,” titled “Produce_X101,” which will form a new boy group. While little information has been released so far, Mnet unveiled a teaser confirming the new season’s 2019 premiere.

Banana Culture Entertainment has also announced the debut of TREI, their new boy group.

FNC Entertainment is participating in the competition among girl groups with the release of Cherry Bullet, their first girl group in a long time since AOA.

In addition to these groups, “MAMAMOO’s brother group” ONEUS and “VIXX’s brother group” VERIVERY have also received positive responses from fans with their exciting debuts on January 9.

The public is excited to see which rookie groups will come out on top with the rising competition.
