YG to Release Big Bang "Big Show 2011" DVD
The “Seoul Osaka Music of Heart” concert took place in Japan on June 7th, it was a benefit show to aid those devastated by the recent earthquake and tsunami disasters. Many K-Pop artists came together to perform to help those in need. Although it was a Big Bang was not one of the artists on the list. Not to worry, even though the group was not able to be in attendance in person that did not mean that they were forgotten. On the contrary, SBS included the group in their teaser reel for their future releases.
2011 Dream Concert
After being held on May 28th, the 2011 Dream Concert was aired on KBS2TV and KBS World today. It is one of the largest annual concerts in Korea, having many of K-Pop’s biggest names appear on the same stage.
IU and Kim Yuna to Release Duet Track for SBS “Kiss and Cry”
Two of South Korea’s most beloved “Nation’s Sisters,” IU and Kim Yuna, have teamed up for the theme song of SBS “Kiss and Cry.” The song titled “Frozen Flower” was recorded on June 8th in about an hour as the two worked in complete harmony. According to an official, Kim Yuna showed off vocal range as deep as professional singers, leaving a strong impression on the whole recording crew.
Live Viewing of KARA’s Fan Meeting in Japanese Cinema
Girl group KARA is going to hold a fan meeting on June 11th at Jamsil Gymnasium in Seoul to thank their fans for supporting them during their hiatus due to contract disputes with DSP media. Knowing many Japanese fans won’t be able to make it to the Seoul event, they announced the event will be shown live in Japanese cinema!
