SG Wannabe Chae Dong Ha’s suicide sent shockwaves throughout the Kpop world but some people are pointing at an interesting source for the singer’s alleged depression. “Gloomy Sunday” was a song that on Chae Dong Ha’s first album released in November of 2002. For those of you that don’t know, the song “Gloomy Sunday” was originally composed by Hungarian pianist and composer Rezso Seress in 1933. The original lyrics were very depressing and mourning to a lost lover and a pledge to commit suicide to meet the said lover again in the afterlife.
