2NE1, MBLAQ, and BEAST Sweep German Music Chart
Three of K-Pop’s biggest idol groups, 2NE1, MBLAQ, and BEAST, swept Germany’s “VIVA Clip Charts,” taking the top three spots of the list this week. 2NE1’s smash hit single, “I Am The Best,” ranked #1, followed by MBLAQ’s “Mona Lisa” and BEAST’s “Fiction” at #2 and #3, respectively. Even rookie group HIIT came in at #50 with their debut track, “Good Night,” making this week’s VIVA chart filled with popular K-Pop songs.
Kim Jo Han: Vocal Trainer For SNSD, 2PM, and Super Junior
Veteran singer Kim Jo Han’s experience as idol groups’ vocal trainer is gaining attention. Currently Kim Jo Han is appearing on MBC’s “Survival: I Am a Singer” and he is showing off his unique talent and singing aptitude. On July 25th, Kim Jo Han’s agency released the fact that Kim Jo Han had actually been the vocal trainer for many idols. The list is expansive, as he trained: SNSD’s Jessica and Taeyeon, 2AM, 2PM, T-ara’s So Yeon, Miss A’s Fei, Super Junior’s Ryeowook, Sungmin, Yesung, and Kyuhyun, Sistar’s Hyo Rin, and Secret’s Song Ji Eun.

SNSD: “More Mature and Composed” at “2011 Girls’ Generation Tour”
SNSD wrapped up their “2011 Girls’ Generation Tour” on July 24th in Seoul, with more than 10,000 fans from around the world in attendance. The event was held in the same format as the “Japan Arena Tour” that covered six Japanese cities over 14 total concerts. The girls sang a total of 32 songs, while switching outfits seven times, during the three-hour extravaganza.
Yang Hyun Suk Reveals Plans for YGE’s Movement into the US Market
Earlier an article was written regarding speculation surrounding Taeyang and 2NE1’s advancements into the US. To back up these theories and claims in a recent interview with the press after the merger of YG Entertainment and Avex in Japan, YG Entertainment CEO Yang Hyun Suk explains that YG artists will definitely be making an attempt at the American market. Though when exactly is still unclear. Their entrance into America will either happen in, at the earliest, a year’s time or, at the very latest, two years’ time.
