Hwanhee Joins South Korean Army Today

Former Fly to the Sky member Hwanhee has joined the Korean army today. He will first complete the four-week boot camp program before serving as a public service employee for 23 months. As a farewell to his fans, Hwanhee uploaded a letter on his online fan café last week saying, “Thank you for giving me so much love over the past 10 years. Finally, I’m enlisting in the army on October 27. I’ll come back as a more mature and better man. Please wait for me just a bit. My fans will always be in my heart and I believe Hwanhee will always be in my fans’ heart. I love you all so much.”

If you’re a fan of Hwanhee, you’ve most likely heard of his new boy group, MYNAME, who’s slated for their debut in just a few days. The group is considered his last present before he enlists in the army and many are highly anticipating whether the boys will make an impact on the industry like their senior was able to.

New Idol Group MYNAME Releases Album Jacket

The new idol group MYNAME released the album jacket for their debut single, “Message.” On October 17, they released it on their twitter. The group has been receiving attention because they are Hwanhee’s proteges. The jacket shows off the members Se Yong, In Soo, Joon Q, Chae Jin, and Gun Woo. The members show off their own unique styles which are chic and charismatic. The image that the group is going for seems to be “Strong Men” which is charismatic but colorful. Although they are a new group, many domestic and foreign designers worked on their clothing.

MYNAME Reveals Their Third Member

Earlier, we revealed that vocalist Hwanhee would be debuting his very own group next month. With two members already revealed, Hwanhee has revealed a third member along with their official group name. The boys were called "Hwanhee Boys" prior to their debut due to being produced by Hwanhee, but have revealed their new official name to be MYNAME. Their third member is JunQ, and he’s been earning a lot of attention for his close resemblance to Lee Seung Gi.
