The Average Height of Girl Groups has Increased

When in 2005 the idol group LPG (Long Pretty Girls) debuted, many people were shocked and amazed by their stunning heights. Their former member Han Young measured a whopping 180cm, making the average height of the girl group 175cm, while the average height of women was 160cm back then. Six years has passed and it seems that the average height of Korean girl groups has gone up.

RaNia Holds Press Conference in Malaysia

RaNia was invited to be a part of the concert "Suara Kami 2011" by Astro on September 17 at Stadium Merdeka, Malaysia. Alongside RaNia, other international acts for the day included American pop artist, Nelly, popular Canto pop singer from Hong Kong, Hins Cheung, and an award winning playback singers from India, Naresh Iyer and Chinmayi. Not to forget, an awesome line up from Malaysian local acts such as Stacy, Yuna, Faizal Tahir, Pop Shuvit, Hujan, Azlan and the Typewriter, Altimet, Psychounit Rabbit and Point Blanc were present.

There have been quite a few rookie groups who have made their debut over the past seven months. But is it too soon to pick one male and one female group that has had the best debut? MTV K doesn’t seem to think it is as they recently conducted two separate polls, one for the ladies and another for the fellas, to determine which girl band and boy band had the strongest debuts of 2011.

MBC Music Core 07.09.11

This week’s MBC “Music Core” was a very special episode as it bid farewell to the two main MCs, Minho and Onew. They announced their decision to leave the show after eight months of hosting alongside Suzy and Jiyeon. Todays’ show also had comeback stages by Hyun Ah, ZE:A, Girl’s Day, and The Grace- Dana & Sunday. But f(x), Rainbow, Rania, and N-Train had their goodbye performances.
