We’ve just gone through the first full weekend of 2012 and that means we’ve had our first full set of ratings for 2012 for the weekend variety shows. To be honest thou, the first set of ratings of 2012 didn’t bring about too many surprises, the programs that have been on top in 2011 have continued their dominance into the first weekend of 2012, while the programs that have been suffering in 2011, continued to suffer.
Sunday Variety Shows Ratings Review: “1 Night, 2 Days” and “Running Man” Rise in Viewership.
“1 Night, 2 Days” showed a rise in viewership ratings this past weekend, perhaps signaling the end to the “Kang Ho Dong Shock.” “Running Man” also received much love for its Beijing Special.
SBS’ "Warrior Baek Dong Soo" Ranks #1 in Ratings
Ratings released by the AGB Nielsen Media Research firm on August 16th revealed that “Warrior Baek Dong Soo”’s nationwide viewership was 17.3%. Over the past nine days the drama has seen an increase from 15.9% to the current 17.3% which is a total of 1.4% in audience.

New Drama “City Hunter” Exceeds Expectations
“City Hunter” started off with a bang yesterday, literally and figuratively, as viewers were introduced with scenes from Burma in 1983.
