SHINee Releases Japanese Album "The First" in Korea

On February 29, SHINee released their Japanese debut album in South Korea. SHINee’s album, “The First,” was originally released in Japan in June of 2011. Through their promotions the popular group had the opportunity to meet with a wide variety of music fans. The response was positive. The album is available in two versions: a regular CD release and a CD and DVD version. “The First” is made up of twelve songs: five new songs “Better,” “To Your Heart,” “Always Love,” "Start," "Seesaw," and the group’s classic hits “Replay,” “Juliette,” “Lucifer,” "Amigo," "Love Like Oxygen," "Hello," and "The SHINee World."

SHINee’s Minho and Ryu Hyun Kyung Are Siblings?

Idol group SHINee member, Minho, and actress Ryu Hyun Kyung is gaining attention for looking like siblings. Ryu Hyun Kyung uploaded a couple of pictures on her Cyworld with the caption: “Fiery charisma Mr. Minho gave me the live CD for SHINee. Mr. Minho is a wonderful idol that receives much love from all of the sunbaes and staff on set of SBS ‘Salamander Guru and the Shadows’” on February 24.

SHINee members, Key and Minho, are gaining interest for their bright smiles. Key uploaded two pictures on his official me2day with the caption, “Taking pictures at Paris and laughing because we kept posing multiple times due to the darkness, the sudden brightness caught us by a surprise” on February 22.

SHINee’s Taemin Makes a Guest Apperance on "Salamnader Guru"

On the February 17 broadcast of SBS’ sitcom, “Salamander Guru,” a surprise guest appearance was made by SHINee’s Taemin. Sun Dal and Won Sam are approached by a seventy year-old grandfather who inquires about the status of a cornea donation for his grandchild. The grandfather is expected to pay a fee of $500 for their psychic services, but instead he slips them a phony bill of $1,000. After receiving his change, the man turns to leave the establishment, as he does he reveals his true identity.

K-Pop in Japanese Music Market Shows Steady Growth In Revenue

On February 16, Oricon released a revenue trends report regarding K-Pop artists’ music softwares and their sales. According to this report, the total revenue of Japanese music market has been steadily decreasing in past five years, but K-Pop artists’ Japanese music software sales has skyrocketed, reaching 24.4 Billion Yen in revenue.
