Olleh Music Releases Top 50 Songs of 2011
On December 8, KT Music’s Olleh Music (dosirak) released the top 50 songs for 2011 based on a combination of number of downloads and streams from January 1 to December 7, 2011. These past few years have undoubtedly been dominated by girl groups, and that was reflected in the top 50 rankings, as 13 total girl groups were reported to have ranked in.

Jang Geun Suk "I Will Strive to Be a World Star, Till the Day I Die"
Jang Geun Suk showed his will to become a world superstar! On December 6, Jang Geun Suk received the “World Star Award” at the “2011 The 3rd Asia Jewelry Awards” which was held at the Intercontinental Hotel in Seoul. After receiving the award, Jang Geun Suk first thanked the Japanese fans that had come to the event in Japanese, then he stated, “It says world star” while looking at the award.
T-ara Changes Leader from Hyomin to Soyeon
Beginning from January 1, T-ara will start to promote their new track “Lovey-Dovey” of their repackage album. T-ara has decided to change their leader from Hyomin to Soyeon. T-ara’s entertainment agency Core Content Media stated on December 7, “Soyeon is the main vocal of T-ara and also the second eldest. She has a strong sense of responsibility that is why she is going to be the leader after Eunjung, Boram, and Hyomin.
