Big Bang’s Taeyang and 4minute’s HyunA were picked as “the next Rain and Hyori” by other idol singers in this week’s MBC Everyone’s “Weekly Idol.” The survey asked a group of real-life idols to pick “five idol singers with the most potential to follow in the success of Rain and Hyori” and the most votes were given to Taeyang and HyunA, who beat out the likes of BEAST’s Lee Gi Kwang, Jay Park, SNSD’s Yuri, and G.NA. In particular, it was reported that a lot of the members of Infinite, MBLAQ, U-Kiss, and B1A4 voted for HyunA, arousing the interest of many fans.

[Album Review] U-Kiss, "Neverland"
U-Kiss is a seven-member boy group created and managed by NH Media. U-Kiss made their debut in 2008. Not long ago, the group experienced some changes to their lineup. Currently, the group is composed of leader Soohyun, vocalist and dancer Kiseop, rapper Eli, rapper AJ, vocalist Hoon, vocalist Kevin, and maknae and rapper Dongho. “Neverland” was made available to the public on September 1, marking the second full studio release from U-Kiss. The album “Neverland” also represents the K-Pop debut of J.D. Relic, who was discovered by his well-received English K-Pop covers posted on YouTube. He assisted in the composition and arrangement of a number of tracks on the album including “Neverland” and “Baby Don’t Cry”. Listeners will be able to hear J.D.’s vocals singing backup while he supports the U-Kiss members.

This year the Asia Song Festival was held in the city of Daegu on October 15. It was a rainy night that brought interruptions to the event but the invited groups of Asian artists warmed up the night with their energetic performances.
Soo Hyun Diagnosed with “Vocal Cord Nodule” Will Prematurely End U-KISS 2nd Album Activities
Currently U-KISS’ main vocal Soo Hyun was diagnosed with “Vocal Cord Nodule.” Because of this, it appears that his activities for the 2nd U-KISS album will be limited. A vocal cord nodule is a mass that typically appears on the junction of the anterior and middle two-thirds of the vocal fold. This mass will usually impair one’s speaking and singing ability but rarely harm one’s general health. It is usually caused by strenuous vocal activities such as singing or shouting excessively.
