Rookie Girl Group to Have 24 Members

The largest girl group has emerged. Rookie Leader’S will have a total of 24 members, made up of three sub-groups with three members each. Leader’S initially debuted earlier in the year with seven members. They later became an eight-member team when they released a single, “Kiss Me” and the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics song “Korea Olympics” in September.

Golden Disk Awards Will Be Held Overseas for the First Time

In an unprecedented move from the “Korean Grammy Awards,” the 26th Golden Disk Awards Night will be held overseas. According to reports from local news agencies, the recognition ceremonies of the prestigious record industry awards will be held in Japan in January 2012.

MBLAQ’s Lee Joon Withdraws from SBS Drama "Fly Again"

MBLAQ’s Lee Joon will no longer be taking part in the upcoming SBS drama “Fly Again.” Recent reports say the role of airplane navigator Kang Dong Soo will now be played by Lee Chun Hee. MBLAQ’s management agency, J.Tune Camp said Lee Joon is withdrawing from the drama as the schedule conflicts with his commitments with the group.

SHINee to Perform in London Again

Just months after making history by being the first Asians to perform at the famed Abbey Road Studios in London, SHINee is all set to go back to the city that welcomed them warmly. The five-member boy group is slated to open The London Korean Film Festival 2011 with a performance at the Odeon West End on November 3.

ZE:A, MBLAQ and Sistar to Perform at "2011 K-Friends Taiwan Fireworx Concert"

ZE:A, MBLAQ and Sistar are slated to visit Taiwan in November to perform for the “2011 K-Friends Taiwan Fireworx Concert.” SHINee, who was supposed to be the finale act, will not be able to join the concert because of a conflict in the schedule. The show was also postponed from its original intended staging in early October.
